I would v much like to watch this film, regardless of accuracy. A CNET review claims "In [founder Mark Zuckerberg's] real life, he was just sitting around with his friends in front of his computer, ordering pizza," Sandberg said. "Who wants to go see that for two hours?" (http://bit.ly/dbvw6L) Totes funny. But I quite like that there's finally a nerdy biopic that isn't about someone who has aspergers or autism. A little politics is gewd.

Grim times definitely.

There has been many a time when I have looked at my iProducts with contempt lately. My Nike shoes too.

But Foxconn isn't the only company in the world that has employee suicide. We just hear about it so much because Apple is an immensely popular brand. In fact, Foxconn's suicide numbers are actually lower than China's national average (though still very bad nonetheless). Read here: http://bit.ly/bzYLJX

You may also find this article quite an interesting read - an undercover reporter joins Foxconn's work force. http://bit.ly/aG9bao

PS. Those No-Suicide contracts are ridiculous.

Hmm, it's not a bad idea - provided they're not sharing personal information with those websites that choose to integrate the protocol.

A major un-addressed evil of Facebook is its locked-in nature. There are precious few ways to get your data out of the site if you want to.

Hi David,

It will be interesting to see indeed how other recommendation sites are affected. I think other people are trying to create similar version's of Facebook's open graph to try and create competition. I think people feel too uncomfortable about a single company having that much data to play with and will try and keep it competitive

Thanks for stopping by Jazz! I think brands are beginning to see the value of engaging their customers for ideas. There's benefit in talking to the end-users of your product instead of the relatively insular and arguably "in isolation" internal teams. I think it's a great step forward. People become a part of the product cycle rather than just being an end-consumer.
