Opportunity:  The FIFA Football World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events globally. With over 500 million soccer fans in the world and almost 4 million in Australia, we needed to deliver some innovative, impactful activity to satisfy fans and to kick off the World Cup season coverage

Activity: Leveraging the power of Facebook, we launched the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Facebook Stadium “the biggest stadium in the world”, connecting soccer fans directly with the Australian Soccer team the Socceroos on a Q&A live streamed globally just as they were about to leave for Rio

Result: An Australian first, the global live stream generated approx. 4 million views and reached over 7 million Facebook users
